My Rating: 8.9 out of 10
It goes without saying that meditation has become a highly popular practice. We hear about Google CEOs daily meditation practice to increase their productivity, stressed-out entrepreneurs trying to detox their system, and people from all walks of life who meditate to find inner peace. Whatever the reason for meditating is, it is always recommended to find an experienced teacher who can guide us through our first steps.
This is a review of Ziva Online – an online mediation course by Emily Fletcher, the author of the best-selling Stress Less Accomplish More who has developed an online meditation course that lasts 15 days.
Having first read the highly informative and enjoyable book, I enrolled in Emily’s course in January 2020 and benefited from her tachings on many levels. Taking this course and following the instructions step by step has had a great effect on my health and wellbeing, and I will be talking about the specific benefits in this review.
There are some aspects you need to consider before taking this course and I will be listing both pros and cons of this course, so you can get an idea if the course is for you or not.

The Course Content
Ziva Online takes 15 days to complete. You will receive an instructional video each day which you have to complete in order to unlock the next day’s video. You cannot unlock the next day’s video in one day. I like this approach because it supports proper learning. You will concentrate a lot at just one video a day, which means that in the long run you will learn more and retain more information. You will also look forward to the next day’s video.
The videos are very engaging and full of interesting information. Emily Fletcher is clearly an expert with plenty of experience. She studied meditation and meditation teaching in India Her instructor course lasted three years, which is very clear in her teaching. I felt I was in good hands throughout the whole course.
Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive a certificate, with which you will be able to take Emily’s live training in her studio in New York. (The live training now requires the completion of the online course).
What makes Ziva Online different from other meditation courses is the inclusion of threedifferent techniques: Mindfulness, Meditation, and Manifesting. Emily Fletcher clearly explains the difference between mindfulness and manifesting and guides the learner through both.
The course finishes with manifesting, which is getting clear on what we want in life and making our dreams become reality. Emily teaches specific visualisation techniques to achieve our goals.

Pros:
Learning to meditate regularly leads to clear results, such as:
- Better Sleep
- Better immunity – fewer colds
- Better mood, less reactivity
- Improved productivity
I personally credit the course for impacting my life in the following ways:
Deeper and More Restful SleepÂ
Amazingly, my need of 9 hours of sleep decreased to 7, and I no longer experience the crashed of energy in the afternoons
More Energy and Focus
I have noticed that since I’ve started meditating regularly that I am able to read with more concentration.
Increased Productivity
Thanks to recharging my body’s energy with meditating twice a day, I get many more tasks accomplished in the day. My days also feel longer thanks to sleeping less (but still feeling rested). I am also experiencing more ‘flow’ states when working.
Being Less Reactive or Confrontational
that when I get into a tense situation that would normally lead to confrontation, I am able to stay calmer and more grounded, and my need to react defensively is minimal.
Feeling More Connected to Others
Mediation has the amazing ability to release the so-called bliss chemicals into your brain. Amongst these chemicals are oxytocin (the bonding hormone) and anandamide (also dubbed ‘the bliss molecule).
If your body is flooded with these feel-good chemicals, it will be natural to feel a loving connection with others. You will also be able to forgive more easily! Again, I am talking about my own experience. This aspect of the biochemical reward of frequent meditation is truly amazing and can save and heal many relationships!
A Huge Decrease in Negative Thought-PatternsÂ
To my astonishment, I have experienced a really noticeable drop in the involuntary, automatic negative thoughts and inner critical commentaries (of ourselves and other people) that used to bring me down a lot. This is one of the greatest benefits of having taken the course.
Reduced Need for Caffeine or Alcohol
Don’t take me wrong, I still really like both! However, I’ve noticed that their effect on my body is much stronger since I started meditating, so I need a considerably smaller quantity of both. I’m also convinced that the fact that my sleep is much better now can be attributed to my natural reduction of caffeine and alcohol.
I Stopped Biting My Nails
I’m happy to say that my annoying habit of biting my nails has stopped! I used to bite my nails whenever I felt nervous and on edge, often after drinking coffee.
If you’d like to read more in-depth about all the ‘perks’ of mediation, check my post on the physical and psychological benefits of meditation!
Cons:
This course is expensive. For many people, $399 is a lot of money, and the price may put them of and prompt them to search for free Youtube meditation videos instead. Although I am very happy to have invested this amount into improving multiple aspects of my life, I still have to point this out. It’s a pity that this price aspect may deter quite a few people from taking the course.
What I also dislike is the 6-month limit of access to the course content, the private Facebook group, and the live calls with Emily. You’ll only get 6 months of access, after which you can upgrade, but personally, I just don’t like that feature. I have done other courses, such as the Mindvalley course Eden Energy Medicine and Jim’s Kwik Superbrain and SuperReading. With these, I have lifetime access to both the course content and all the live video calls and private Facebook groups. This generous approach is exactly why I have recommended many of my friends to join their programs.
I do understand that Emily Fletcher’s aim as a professional meditation teacher is to help us become independent meditators who don’t have to repeatedly come back to the course material and follow her along with the meditations, but I still think it would be nice to be able to revisit the course (and have access to the Facebook group and the encouraging live calls) without having to pay for it repeatedly every 6 months.
Having said all that, you can try the whole course for 30 days with a money-back guarantee which I think is pretty great, because in the space of 30 days you will you can learn to meditate and start experiencing many of the physical and psychological benefits. The course is only 15 days so you will have plenty of time to decide whether the training was worth it or whether you prefer to cancel the payment.
Conclusion:
I’ve been pretty frank in this review in terms of my opinion about the price and the 6-month access limit. However, all this can’t change the fact that taking the Ziva Online course has been one of the best investments in my life – exactly as what other reviews say about her course (which you can read here.)
With the overwhelming amount of information on the internet, it is difficult to choose the right teacher or a course. Often we just download a meditation app and stop using it a few days later, with no results. The fact is – Ziva Mediation works, and it may even surprise you how well it works. If you want to become more productive, have much more done, sleep better and in many cases need fewer hours to feel fully rested, feel calmer and more stable emotionally, I recommend you give Ziva Online a try.

Thank you so much for sharing this interesting review. I have learned a lot of new things about meditation by reading your review as well as your other article about the benefits of meditation. I like the fact that you can go through the whole 15 Days’ Course and still have time to get your money back if for any reason it wasn’t right for you. From what I’ve read about Emily Fletcher, and about your own experience, it seems that the course is of great value and that she will really teach you to meditate properly so you can experience the benefits. I’ve really enjoyed both your articles and will share them with my friends in the Facebook community so that everyone will learn about the Ziva technique and compare it with other meditation courses or apps.
Many thanks for your nice words, Md. Asraful. I’m so pleased you’ve found the review interesting. I’m so glad to have been able to share this because Ziva meditation has had a great impact on many aspects of my life. It can be a lifesaver when you’re feeling down or tired. What I like especially is the second meditation of the day. Often, I come back home from shopping errands, etc, and feel very tired and unmotivated to do anything. Then I do my 15-minute Ziva meditation and feel completely refreshed as if I had an hour’s nap! I’m suddenly full of fresh energy and motivation do continue my projects or do work around the house. And I feel happy and content inside. This stuff really works if you commit to it regularly. I highly recommend trying it out! Thanks again for your much-appreciated feedback.
It seems a good platform to learn meditation. But yeah, I agree it is quite expensive. What is the difference between another source to learn meditation, such as YouTube or free download apps? And can you download the course, so you can get back again to the course after, I mean not from the site but from your own copy? Don’t you deserve to get the copy if you pay so much price for that?
Hi Lana, Thanks for your feedback! Yes, unfortunately the price can put off many people and make them think ‘Why don’t I learn from Youtube’. I can share my experience: When I learned about Ziva Online and saw the price, I first dismissed and didn’t come back to it for several weeks. But then I came across Emily’s book Stress Less Accomplish More, (I highly recommend it) and I really loved the book and Emily’s style of writing. It got me much more interested in starting a regular meditation practice.
But I knew that if I wanted to really benefit from meditation that I should have a professional guide or teacher. Because (at least for me), free Youtube videos or apps don’t usually wake up that drive and discipline in me to do it regularly and commit to a regular practice. It’s a big investment, but everything of good quality is reflected by its price. And I thought to myself ‘Come on, my health and mental wellbeing are well worth the investment!’ Plus, the great thing is the 30-day refund guarantee, so I would recommend trying the course to everyone, as there’s nothing to lose.
After completing the course, I still had the option to request the money back, but because I gained so much value from it, and I could feel the benefits very clearly already, I didn’t have the need to ask for a refund. Since then, the money came back to me multiple times, and I can credit a large part of it to my increased productivity (one of the benefits of meditation :).
Regarding your question about whether you can download the videos: No, you can’t, but in my experience, one learns much more if one knows that there is limited time. If I could download all the videos I doubt I would be revisiting them anyway. Knowing I had 6 months of access got me very focused and I made copious notes with every video, so even today I have everything I need from the course. Plus, you’ll get quite a lot of free bonus downloads – guided Ziva meditations for sleep, performance, relaxation, etc. and other audios such as ZivaOnline PepTalk and downloads of the existing Live Calls, all of which you can keep for good.
So if I were you, I would either get the Stress Less Accomplish More book, or give the course a try with the 30-day money-back option. Good luck and thanks again for your comment!
Meditation is a superb topic. Even for me, since I discovered that most highly influential people meditate; I started engaging in sessions of meditation and I must really say that the experience has been awesome and I have gained incredible calmness since I began. Thanks a lot for the effort you have placed into providing the content.
Hello Lucas, I’m so glad to hear that you have also benefited from meditation practice! It is such a life-improver, isn’t it? And as you say, the fact that highly influential people meditate can motivate many people to try it. I was one of them. The first person who influenced me was the great Arthur Brown (the legendary singer known for his hit ‘Fire’) with whom I used to play in a band. We were on a tour in Germany when he led me through the steps of meditation and I got properly intrigued. Then I saw Fletcher’s really interesting Google talk about caffeine and meditation (I embedded it in my article The Physical and Psychological Benefits of Meditation) and that got me even further. I got her book Stress Less Accomplish More and then took her ZivaOnline course, and so many things have improved in my life! I can’t recommend it highly enough. Thanks again for your lovely comment!
Hello there! This is a really helpful review of the meditation course I’ve been hearing about quite a lot lately. I am sure this information here will be of great help to anyone who comes across it and who wants to understand meditation and learn it correctly in order to get some results.
From what I’ve heard, Ziva meditation is a really powerful tool that can unlock your full potential which can improve many aspects of your life, including career and relationships. Thanks!
Hi Joy, Thank you for your nice words. There are so many great sources to learn about meditation. I consider Emily Fletcher from Ziva one of the best. But when you are fully exploring something, it’s great to find out about it from different authors and hear multiple opinions on the same thing, so you can form your own opinion better, rather than be influenced just by one person. I would fully recommend reading Emily’s book Stress Less Accomplish More, (link in the comments above) but I would equally recommend Bliss Brain by Dawson Church, who is an expert in neuroscience and digs really deep into the mechanism of meditation. Good luck with your meditation journey!
Meditation is a great medical practice that houses a myriad of benefits and helps one keep a clear mind at all times and I really enjoyed learning about all this from your article ‘Ziva Online Review’. Ziva sounds like a really great practice and it’s nice to know there will be hands on trainers through online videos that help your progression.
Dear Beesean, thank you for your nice feedback! I feel rather lucky to have discovered Emily Fletcher’s training. A few of my friends have asked me “Why did you pay $399 when you can get free tutorials on Youtube?” My answer was that, for me, Youtube videos are good for one-off help (e.g. technical problems – how to do things on WordPress or Photoshop, etc) but in terms of learning to meditate I needed to be sure I have an expert to lead me through all the steps, because meditation involves your brain and nervous system, and I wanted to be sure that I am following the correct steps. I also needed to be sure that I would stick to the training in order to reap the benefits, so having a paid teacher was the right motivation for me to complete the 15-day course and follow the lessons every day. And now, when looking back, I don’t regret a single penny I invested into myself. What I recommend to everyone is to read Emily’s Book ‘Stress Less Accomplish More’ and then try her online course for 30 days with the money-back guarantee. Nothing to lose, only a life-long skill to gain. Thanks again for your comment!
This looked like a good one that I should give a go looking at how well it works for so many people. I think that the fact that you can even tell us about it is a good thing and I would like to give it a try. Although when one looks at it in relation to what other online training has, I can say that it is a bit too expensive but if the information is worth it then no problem.
Hello Suz, Thank you for your nice feedback! I can tell you that I was equally hesitant about this course before signing up for it because of the price. I think it’s a bit of a pity that it’s that high because may people will just dismiss it and lose a unique opportunity to learn to meditate. Because with most of the apps or free YouTube tutorials, you just don’t get motivated enough to get into regular, daily practice – and only with regular daily practice you will experience the results as I have (or as other graduated of this program have).
But fortunately, because I had been rather desperate regarding my sleep and productivity, I decided to go for it and give it a try for a month. After all, anyone can ask for a refund within 30 days, which I think it’s very good. The price will reflect your seriousness and readiness to commit, and if you don’t find it satisfactory you can claim it all back, which is cool. And I can tell you, that after about 20 days of the daily practice I was so pleased with the results, such as gaining more active hours in my day and becoming less tired and less reactive, I felt it was all absolutely worth the price. In fact, looking back and seeing what I have gained from my meditation practice (including the manifesting portion where several of my long-term dreams have come true in a surprisingly short span of time) I’d even say it was a bargain! J Good luck with trying the program out if you intend to do so and thanks again for your comment.
Thanks for this helpful and interesting article. I’ve heard of Ziva meditation before and it is always useful to read reviews of people who have experienced the training. I like the concept of Ziva training, the fact that it has three components – mindfulness, meditation, and manifesting. Fro what I’ve read, meditation is something that it’s very beneficial to health and I believe this course is worth its price.
Hi Bruce, Thanks for your nice comment, Emily Fletcher’s meditation course is indeed very poplar – she even did a version of this course on the famous Mindvalley platform. Are you familiar with Mindvalley? I find it amazing. I’d recommend reading the founder’s (Vishen Lakniani’s) book The Code of Extraordinary Mind. This book and its concepts have been used by many successful people including Bianca Andreescu who won the 2019 US Open. She says that the visualization techniques for manifestation inspired her to achieve her success. So, back to Emily Fletcher, she is also a part of Mindvalley and her client s have reported great results with regularly practicing her technique. I am one of them and I can well recommend it. For example, how it has improved the quality of my sleep is quite incredible. Do give it a go, I’m sure you’ll notice the benefits soon!
Hello Lucie thanks for sharing this intriguing article. I’ve been searching for a quality meditation course for some time now, and I’m glad to have come across Ziva online meditation course. It seems a really good course and the teacher seems upbeat and really knowledgeable about the stuff she teaches. I’ll check it out. I also know of a few people who would like a meditation teacher but haven’t found a good one as yet, (they’ve been trying some apps etc) so I will share this review with them. Cheers!
Hi Justin, thanks for your nice words. Emily Fletcher rocks! I was so glad to find out about her. It was through her talk for Google, about the mechanics behind caffeine as a stimulant, and how meditation can do the same, and much better for you. I’ve written about it in a separate article titled The Physical and Psychological Benefits of Meditation. Check it out, it’s really interesting. Good luck with your meditation journey, if you’re planning to embark on one (if you do you’ll be blessing the day you’ve decided to go for it 🙂
Having compared quite a few mediation apps and courses, I can tell that Emily Fletchers’ course is a quality one, especially after reading about the benefits you have experienced. I have to say, I could do with the benefits such as better and deeper sleep! The Ziva online training is a definite must-enroll for me.
Hi Nath, I’m delighted to hear this. I can tell you that Emily’s course is really good and get you some cool results if you stick with the training. But the main thing is that you will see for yourself once you have gone through the 15-days training. Things will shift for you in your life. I’m glad this topic has spoken to you personally. Good luck with your meditation journey and seeing improvement in many areas of your life!
Hi and thanks for sharing this.
It is a very interesting subject. The meditation marketplace, if I could call it that seems to be rather crowded these days. I am curious to know whether the Ziva technique processes of mindfulness, meditation, and manifestation are separate sequential processes, or are these all practiced together simultaneously? And then on another point, are the objectives of each of these processes different, or do they all have the same objective?
Thanks and best regards
Andy
Hi Andy, Thanks for your much appreciated and very thoughtful feedback. I agree with you, the meditation marketplace (why not call it that way after all) is highly saturated with a lot of different approaches to essentially the same concepts of mindfulness or meditation. As far as I’m aware, mindfulness and meditation are two separate things. Mindfulness is about deeply focusing one’s mind, dealing with stress in the present moment and helping with improving one’s concentration, while meditation is about letting go, essentially ‘doing nothing’ which allows the body to relax on a very deeper level and gives the body deep, healing rest to get rid of stress from the past. Different brain activity has been observed during these two different activitiues. If you want, I’m looking into this more in another article of mine, The Physical and Psychological Benefits of Meditation. But back to the Ziva technique: As you rightly guess, the processes of mindfulness, meditation, and manifestation are indeed separate sequential processes. They just flow into each other naturally. As for your second question (whether the objectives of each of these processes are different or have the same objective), I think that each of the processes has a different objective – e.g. mindfulness brings us back to our senses before we want to get deeper into meditation; meditation takes care of the process of destressing our body on a deep level, thus leading to better health and state of mind; and lastly, manifesting helps us clarify what we really want on life and start moving towards those goals more actively and with more energy gained by regular meditation. So, although these processes can be seen as separate during the practice, they support and complement each other. Thanks again for your great comment!
My girlfriend bought Ziva Online as a present for me, and I can’t thank her enough for it. Like any other ‘macho’ man, I also didn’t believe in meditation, let alone online ones.
I tried the course and was utterly hooked by day four! The fact that the system is designed so that you can’t skip through the lessons makes it much more appealing, and it kind of leaves you thirsty for more.
I highly recommend it! (even for non believers)
Hello Gorjan, what a thoughtful present from your girlfriend! 🙂 Brilliant. Like you, I was also hooked very soon after starting the course. I liked the fact that Emily didn’t jump into meditation straight away, but made time for mindfulness and the breathing technique, which prepares you for the meditation. I also liked that we can meditate alongside Emily in real-time. For me, the whole course felt as if I attended a live class. But one advantage over the live class was that I could pause or replay the videos ad make notes. For me, that’s very important if I want to retain information long-term. I’m glad you recommend it even for non-believers, hehe. The cool thing is that you can get a refund within 30 days if you don’t notice any positive changes. For me personally, the course was worth much more than the actual fee. (I’ve written more about that in another article called The Physical and Psychological Benefits of Meditation.) Thanks again for your nice words!
Hi Lucie,
I always seem to be too busy with work related stuff to have time for anything else. That was in 2020. Tis year, 2021, I have decided to take time for “me”.
Strangely enough this is the second time I am hearing about the Ziva Online program prior to stumbling on your article. So, I think the stars are lining up for me to do it!I have always pushed back on it – you guessed right – because of the steep cost!
Now that I am thinking of taking the program, I would like to know IF the 30 day money back guarantee is genuine, or do they make it difficult for you to get your money back as so many other programs do?
Hi Ceci, It was nice to read your comment, and lovely to hear about your decision to make more time for yourself this year! Your words made me realize an interesting fact – that since I’ve started meditating regularly, I have gained more time in my day without having to consciously ‘make it’, or plan it. Regarding your question about the 30-day money-back guarantee, I am more than sure that it should be hassle-free. I have double-checked what they say about refunds just in case, and this is what they say on the Ziva Meditation website: “…If you don’t get outstanding results within 30 days from when you sign up, simply request a refund and we will happily give you your money back. If you’re skeptical, try this program anyway because you have 30 days to prove your skeptic mind wrong.” A bit further down the page, they also say: “..Put zivaONLINE to the test! Use our program 100% risk-free for 30 days from purchase. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with zivaONLINE, simply send us a request for a refund of your course fee. *If you opt for a payment plan, the finance fee is non-refundable.” (You can check the page here.) So that’s one important thing to take into consideration, Ceci: If you pay the whole fee, the refund is guaranteed, but if you opt for a payment plan (paying small sums over several months), then there’s no refund, because it’s no longer “30-day money-back guarantee”. Good luck with trying the course out, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it and benefit from it. If you want, you can also check another post of mine about meditation – The Physical and Psychological Benefits of Meditation. All the very best on your journey!
Hi
Just wondering if ziva meditation helps in clearing money blockages and improves kids health if done by parents?
Thank you for such an interesting, thought-provoking question, Roopal!
I believe Ziva meditation could be one of the ways to open your consciousness for clearer inner guidance, which could relate to financial matters as well. I personally experience it this way: When I meditate regularly, I definitely experience better work-flow thanks to more inner presence.
I feel more connected to the universal flow, and I am noting many more synchronicities that in my caase has led to better financial situation.
Meditation has also made me much more open to new work possibilities (in my case it has been affiliate marketing andblogging about subjects that interest me; one of the learning platforms I could highly recommend
is https://www.wealthyaffiliate.com/a_aid/fcb0ad92). Overall, meditation it has given me more stamina and willpower, which has reflected on my earnings.
So to sum up: In MY opinion (let’s keep in mind that other meditators may be of a different opinion) , meditation can clear money blockages by making you more receptive to new work opportunities, motivated to keep trying to find your own way to make an income, and inspired to take action.
In term of improving kids health, my opinion (again, this is only MY opinion) is that it may not have a direct impact (if their parents meditate to improve their kids health) but again, it can give you inner guidance for finding various pathways to healthier lives of your children. And I do not underestimate the power of healing intention or prayer; this could well be a part of one’s meditative journey!
Thank you for your inspiring question.
